Are retrogrades still making you uneasy? Before anything can move forward, what came before must first be brought to a close. That's not a setback. That’s a grand finale.

If Closure Is A Thing… This Is It.

Can we ever really move on from the past? If moving on looks like never being affected by our past then maybe not. But, if moving on means changing the way we understand and relate to the past, then it becomes possible. Learning to carry the past differently begins with deep reflection, and a willingness to address what remains through the lens of rebuilding and transformation. Objectively examining what you’ve experienced and how it has shaped you can reveal patterns ranging from inner child trauma to the seemingly subtle choices that shape who you trust and why. We all have to acknowledge, when the universe presses pause and rewind, we get to pay close attention to receive key points of clarity we may have otherwise missed the first time around.

So retrograde and cosmic energy invites us to “take another look”, we can recognize it is time to seize the opportunity and move one step closer to releasing what we are ready to let go of.

Accept The Flow.

Retrogrades have a way of bringing old thoughts, decisions, and experiences back into focus, inviting us to revisit them with fresh eyes, while life offers its own moments for understanding past memories from the perspective of who we are now. It can feel instinctual to avoid the past at all costs, but it only takes a few full circle moments to recognize the power in spinning the block on unresolved conflict, outdated ideas and all things we’d rather leave behind.

The power is in the angle. When reflection is backed by Saturn’s focus on practical elevation, there is potential to discover how things have impacted your dedication towards your goals. And when Mercury is leading the charge, we are challenged to navigate issues through communication and handle uncertainty with calm and grace.

Lean All The Way In.

Now here’s the homework, stop running from the retrograde energy and see it as a golden ticket to change. In the aftermath of difficult moments, how often do we wish we had the chance to rewrite the story with the clarity we have now? The hard truth is that embracing retrograde energy is the closest we ever get to returning to the past with the power to change what it means. And it’s not all about Mercury (who is most frequently in gatorade)! Right now Saturn, Pluto and Neptune are in retrograde giving us a triple whammy of reflection.

You could begin questioning if your manifestations are actually possible. Or questioning how you got to where you are. Are you wanting to invest more into your dreams and don’t know where to begin? The answers may already be woven into your story, making revisiting your past a powerful place to begin.

Get What You Came For.

Our past decisions were made based on whatever thought and behavior patterns we were in at the time. As we grow, distance is created between who we are and who we used to be. That distance begins to close when we make room to understand and empathize with who we were, rather than simply trying to outgrow that version of ourselves. What can be discovered when we are open to all the different versions of ourselves? We are all much more than our strengths and positive traits. Our mistakes, insecurities, and imperfections can reveal truths about ourselves that our best qualities cannot. Your past versions of self were enough to ensure your survival and growth, and the seeds have already been planted to get you to this present moment. The truths that are gained by taking another look and revisiting he experiences that shaped us (through a lens of grace) can be some of the most significant truths we come to know about ourselves.

And isn’t that the point of turning the page? Don’t be so quick to close off the corner of your mind that may be attached to memory, gently look within and get what you can from who you’ve been.

Final Thoughts.

Don’t fear deep reflection, patiently work to see the magic in looking deeper.

Honor all versions of you by giving yourself a true platform to heal. One without judgment, but acceptance and understanding.

Approach the past with boldness. You’ve already survived it, reflect confidently.
