You’ve conquered the storm, now commit to exploring without fear. Navigating all the scary thoughts that come with putting yourself back out there.

The Real Fear After The Fight.

What a joy it is to finish a rough season in life. To come to a point where we can look ahead, instead of looking over our shoulder. We move forward with a little more pep in our step, knowing that the hardest parts are behind us. But why are we still accompanied by fear? For me, it has been a few things. Fear of falling into the same mistake again, fear of missing my lesson or the fear of trusting I am really ready for a new beginning. The last fear leads to the topic of our message for today, the never ending dragging of our feet when it is time to connect with new people and new opportunities.

We fight (sometimes for years) to overcome whatever obstacle we are facing to then hit a brick wall of “What will happen next?”. Come outside, you are not gonna get jumped! Why is it so hard to try the new and improved version of us on for size? It can be so uncomfortable to approach unfamiliar situations carrying what we know from struggle. We may have new doubts, new insecurities, or new questions about our future and what we want. None of this means we aren’t ready to test the waters, it means we have the second step of our work to do. So let’s get to it.

What Is Really Important

You’re probably going to either hate or love the next piece of advice. But your fear is not more important than your potential. You may even say it doesn’t matter. That’s right. Your fear does not matter one bit when your potential comes into question. Doors open whether you are cowering in front of them or standing tall. Divine truth reveals itself to you whether you feel ready or not to accept it. Spaces open for you whether you are anticipating entering them or not. All you have to do is choose what truth you will align yourself with. The truth that says you are broken and must repair yourself in solitude, or the truth that says you are being transformed in perfect alignment with where you are going. Being ready doesn’t mean being unafraid blooming with confidence, it just means simply choosing to be ready.

See this as a gift! Not as something to fear. Approach your future with an open heart and take advantage of the chance to exist in the fullness of who you are.

Walking The Walk

We receive another level of freedom when we are able to move forward past obstacles. So let’s act like it! We spend our time daydreaming about how we will explore and take charge once things “settle”, but does that moment ever come? Remember that gradual progress matters. We all want to feel stable and confident after change, and this will take time. You can find your footing as you enter new spaces, it is not something that can only be uncovered in stillness. So yes, you are ready! Right now! Choose today to start walking in a new frequency.

Start by telling the truth, as much as you can. Say the truth about what you think, what you feel, what you want, and where you are headed. Ask questions when you have them, act as if you deserve to be in every conversation and space you may find yourself in. Take up space and create your network. Trust your judgement, know that you are operating as a more evolved version of you. And only more evolution is to come.

Forever Found

It can feel like learning a new language when it is time to start our new journey. You may look for cues from others that you are being accepted or understood. You may second guess your actions, wanting to be sure you are portraying yourself in just the right way. You may even take longer to make decisions, wanting to be certain that you making choices as the newest version of you. None of these feelings are wrong, but they are not necessary. There is no need to worry about how to simply be you. The best thing about walking in your truth is that is will come naturally. You already know how to be yourself. Even if it feels like you lose yourself at times. Losing yourself is like losing something that you know for a fact is still somewhere in your home. Even if it takes a while to find, it will always turn up.

It will be as simple as you believe it is! And as you put new belief systems into practice, it will be easier to be bold in doing your part to align with the community, opportunities and environments you are seeking.

Final Thoughts

Doing the work isn’t always knowing the right thing to do, it is committing to showing up even when you question your abilities.

Instead of overthinking your next chapter, try to relax in the fact that it is perfectly designed with your strengths and weaknesses in mind.

Reflect on the roots of your fears. Know everything that could be holding you back, be patient in your discovery of your truth.
